Woundcare: Intercytex plans to appoint appropriate
healthcare sales partners for distribution of tissue
repair products ICX-PRO and ICX-SKN to primary and secondary
care markets.
An agreement has been signed with Baxter Healthcare to secure
Intercytex' supply of Tisseel®, a key raw
ingredient in the production of ICX-PRO and ICX-SKN in which a
fixed price and a period of exclusivity in the use of
Tisseel® with allogeneic fibroblasts has
been agreed.
Aesthetic Medicine: Intercytex is planning to set up its
own specialist sales force to sell aesthetic medicine products in
the UK and certain other countries in Europe. For the US
market the company plans to appoint suitable distribution
partners.
Clinical Production and Commercial Manufacture:
Intercytex has invested in its own
GMP production facility in which all
products needed for clinical trials are manufactured. Situated in
Manchester, this capability has enabled Intercytex to scale-out its
production processes alongside the clinical development programmes.
An MHRA Manufacturing Licence was granted in
May 2004. The Company intends to manufacture all products for
Europe and the US at its own custom-built facilities. In October
2006, Intercytex was awarded a grant from the DTI to develop a
robotic system with The Automation Partnership for use in later
stage clinical trials and the commercial scale production of dermal
papilla (DP) cells as part of the ICX-TRC
procedure. |
